Counselling is a talking therapy that encourages individuals to talk about their thoughts, emotions and behaviour. This involves a therapist listening to you and helping you find ways to deal with any difficult life experiences and emotional issues. This therapeutic service we offer aims to help people who may be suffering from mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, low mood and self -esteem to physical health problems. With the aim to help you understand your feelings and behaviour better, talking therapy allows you to talk about things which are troubling you and explore feelings and thought processes.
Jemma is our qualified counsellor and can offer face to face counselling sessions as well as telephone counselling. To begin with Jemma will offer you an initial session, which can take place over the phone if preferred, this will be followed by arranged regular appointments.
